A benchmark is a brick-layer’s mark that establishes a standard, level baseline for the framework of a structure.

In KingdomEd Accreditation, benchmarks are standards for the accreditation process.


1. Purpose

A KingdomEd accredited school has a set of foundational purpose statements that are applied throughout the school and are directed toward student academic and spiritual development.

2. Governance and Finances

A KingdomEd accredited school has a governing body and established administrative leaders who follow biblical, legal, and ethical principles of school management and work in harmony to provide guidance and organization to the school. The governing and executive leadership act as fiduciaries for the school and follow sound tuition management, fund-raising, and accounting methods that provide sufficient funding for current expenses and long-term sustainability to the school. Governance and leadership adhere to the philosophy, mission, vision, core values, and expected student outcomes of the school.

3. Parent and Church Relationships

A KingdomEd accredited school has a partnering relationship with parents to educate their children academically, physically, spiritually, and socially. It also has a relationship with a single church, area churches, or the state Baptist convention that facilitates shared ministry opportunities between the two entities and ministers to the families served by the school. A KingdomEd accredited school offers a well-planned, biblical worldview-based curriculum guide that meets the academic needs of all grade levels, abilities, and subjects. The curriculum guide has a clear scope and sequence and/or mapping and is periodically reviewed with input from faculty. Instructional methods utilized by faculty are grade, ability, and subject appropriate with significant biblical integration evident and supported by resources, including technology, that directly impact student achievement. The instructional environment is organized and well-managed by the teacher with consideration given to student learning needs and parental input. There are thorough, written policies, plans, and standard operating procedures in place that address abuse, bullying, and all types of on-campus crises. Administration, faculty, and staff are properly and regularly trained in handing these emergency situations. Transportation of students meets all state and local requirements for safety.
